Explosive Ordnance Disposal on Exercise RIMPAC (0.43 mins)
Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers Mine from the Warfare and Clearance Diving Squadron and Clearance Dive Team Four exercised their skills in explosive ordnance disposal at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii during Exercise RIMPAC 2018. The dive contingent worked alongside their counterparts from the United States, Canada and South Korea to plant explosive charges in order to neutralize vehicle-borne bombs. They have also taken part in underwater salvage, underwater explosive ordnance disposal as well as reconnaissance and clearance of beaches ahead of landing forces in cooperation with multinational partners in Hawaii and Southern California.
