Guardian Class Patrol Boat gifted to Tonga (0.53 mins)

The third Guardian-class Patrol Boat (GPB) built as part of the Pacific Patrol Boat Replacement Project was gifted by the Australian Defence Force to the people of Tonga on Friday 21 June 2019. The Deputy Chief of Navy, Rear Admiral Mark Hammond, AM, representing the Chief of the Defence Force, General Angus Campbell accepted the vessel from Austal in an initial handover ceremony before presenting the vessel to His Royal Highness, Crown Prince of Tonga Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala, the Tongan High Commissioner to Australia for use by the Tongan military.
